Solaxx Saltron MINI - Spa Chlorine Generator Chlorine generators are something pool owners have enjoyed for decades. Now hot tub owners can get in on the benefits of this technology as well without making any costly modifications to the hot tub structure. The process is simple: add normal table salt to your hot tub and the Saltron Mini produces chlorine in a pure form by an electrolysis process in order to sanitize the hot tub water. The Solaxx Saltron Mini is economical and removes the need for costly chlorine or bromine while requiring little salt. The salt is converted to chlorine and the bacteria are killed and the process continues in order to sanitize the water. Salt is only necessary when new water is introduced to the spa and makes the water feel smooth and comfortable. The amount of necessary salt is very low and not readily discernible. You can adjust the chlorine output by adjusting the timer on the power supply unit. You can check the chlorine levels in your spa water by using a standard chlorine test. One Saltron Mini unit can treat upwards of 600 gallons of spa water or up to 2000 gallons of water in a swim spa.
